About the Cowichan Valley Arts Café

The Cowichan Valley Arts Cafe was born from interest initially generated by the Cowichan Valley Arts Billboard. In the Cafe, individual and group artists in the Cowichan Valley are invited to submit their pictures, stories, art, poetry and topics of interest  for posting.

The most recent post appears above all other posts.

Blogs have taken on 'web 2.0' social networking features. Art web blogs can develop to become a source of information about artists and arts events, a way to share artistic vision and images about community, and provide a virtual meeting ground; as in a café.

Art blog entries cover a wide range of topics, from art reviews and commentary to insider art world gossip, art news, personal essays, portfolios, poetry, interviews, artists' journals, etc. On this blog the most recent entry is at the top of the list of all posts.

Art blogs also serve as a forum to reach out to anybody interested in art whether it's painting, sculpture, print making, creative photography, video art, conceptual art or new media.

We welcome practitioners of different forms of art, collectors, connoisseurs, and critics!

Please see Terms of Use.
